Is anyone else out there running servers on Debian Linux stable (lenny) 64-bit?
I don't know how long this has been going on, but I've noticed the following lines in my TF2 startup since the Halloween update:
Quote:
L 11/13/2010 - 13:58:17: [UPDATER] --- BEGIN ERRORS FROM AUTOMATIC UPDATER ---
L 11/13/2010 - 13:58:17: [UPDATER] Could not download "http://update.sourcemod.net/update/"
L 11/13/2010 - 13:58:17: [UPDATER] Error: Couldn't resolve host 'update.sourcemod.net'
L 11/13/2010 - 13:58:17: [UPDATER] --- END ERRORS FROM AUTOMATIC UPDATER ---
|
Having said that, if I'm at a command prompt, I can do this from the same account:
Quote:
$ nslookup update.sourcemod.net
Server: 8.8.8.8
Address: 8.8.8.8#53
Non-authoritative answer:
Name: update.sourcemod.net
Address: 208.101.51.250

Is there some library that the Source server, MetaMod: Source, or SourceMod is using to look up DNS entries that I'm missing?
I'm using:
MetaMod: Source 1.8.4
SourceMod 1.3.6
Edit 2011/05/09:
I'm still having this issue. I'm now running:
Debian Lenny 64-bit
MetaMod: Source 1.8.6
SourceMod 1.3.7
The error log is still there:
Quote:
L 05/07/2011 - 00:09:05: SourceMod error session started
L 05/07/2011 - 00:09:05: Info (map "koth_lakeside_final") (file "errors_20110507.log")
L 05/07/2011 - 00:09:05: [UPDATER] --- BEGIN ERRORS FROM AUTOMATIC UPDATER ---
L 05/07/2011 - 00:09:05: [UPDATER] Could not download "http://update.sourcemod.net/update/"
L 05/07/2011 - 00:09:05: [UPDATER] Error: Couldn't resolve host 'update.sourcemod.net'

I'll update the ssh DNS when I get to a computer with SSH on it and not just an FTP/SFTP client.
