Hi I'm a first time poster please go easy, i saw this and i had to register.

Can i please say since no-one else has that i completely agree with the original poster, HienoKaveri. I have seen too many games of L4D ruined by Rage Quitting. I'm certain that RQ affects more than 50% of everyone's games (it does for me) and it's time something was done about it.

Perhaps a less harsh punishment than a permanent ban is needed like a "slap on the wrists" 1 day ban or 2 hour ban until people get the message. I liked the vote idea but perhaps for fairness all 7 people can vote in case the opposing team all vote y for spite instead of for the intended purpose.

If we aren't permanently banning people all servers should be able to share lists including steam servers (as if they'd ever care)

Also, has anyone else noticed that most RQ's happen before they even have a go as survivors?

If you ban people from your server they will still be allowed in the lobby won't they.

So they'll take up a lobby spot and then not be in game. Same problem as an RQ?

You saying you r aways playing with friends against pubs.

That's called pubstomp. It's obvious that the other team will rage 90% of the time. Noone here have to explain why, it's quite simple.

Now i dare you to tell me that you never played a quitckmatch (random pub game) and ragequited. I dare you. I have more then 100 friends who plays L4D on my list and none could say they never did.

I'm not saying that it's a good thing. Neither that's supposed to be this way.
It's just the way it is. A side effect of having a 8-slot players game where you depend a lot on your team.

If you are really that pissed at this, go play scrims, cevo, cal or just friends only game.

what if you had a small vote when someone quits out?

Do you think {INSERT NAME HERE} rage quit?
1. Yes
2. No

Based on the results you can then flag that user or not.

I tend to do this, even thought its not a rage quit.
Since I enjoy playing infected WAY MORE then survivor.
So I see no point in staying in the server, so I go and look for another one.

Players that do that should not be banned...

then change the question to "Do you think {name here} is ruining the game?

cuz thats pretty much what u do when u leave a team based game
