Hi,
i host a L4D1 Server but i cant ban players with the web panel because the playerlist is empty. you can see there are enough players on.

pls help

Try to rehash the admin lists on the server....watch the logs make sure they take.

Bit of an issue with SourceBans.

I run a Linux server. Just installed SourceBans. Got everything up an running. Started my server up....got this error.

[sourcebans.smx] Database failure: Could not find driver "mysql". See FAQ: http://www.sourcebans.net/node/20

In my error logs, there's this:

L 01/16/2012 - 22:57:43: [SM] Unable to load extension "dbi.mysql.ext": libz.so.1: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

Because my server is Linux-based, I have "dbi.mysql.ext.so". It's there. As for whatever this "libz.so.1" is, I haven't the foggiest.

I've checked the FAQs and the node/20 page on SourceBans.net, both of which were no help at all to me.

Any help?

Did you try just googling that error?

Run this as root in a shell to install the missing library on your root server.

apt-get install lib32z1

or

yum install zlib

Instead of apt-get install lib32z1, I'd recommend

apt-get install ia32-libs

which will install all the 32-bit compatability libraries. This works for both Debian and Ubuntu

I'm not the owner of the server, though.

I'm one of like, 5 or 6 other people who receive hosting from the owner.

We all have our own folders on the main server, which contain necessary folders for hosting gameservers/website. I use PuTTY to do server startups/shutdowns/updates, and WinSCP as a GUI for uploading files to my gameserver or site.

So I don't think I'm a "root" owner. I did e-mail the owner and showed him a post I found on the SB forums relating to the libz.so.1 file.

Hopefully he knows how to get it.

just take the files drop them into a folder and zip it, then upload the zip as the demo.
