When I try and join my server through "Find Servers" option it says, "Server is out of date" What does this mean or how can I fix this issue? Also, is there anyway possible to join a VIP server without having the Client side? Or is there a way if someone joins your VIP server it will download the files needed to run the VIP mod to their computer just like it does when you join a game but dont have the map?

I have 1.0.H installed on my Source dedicated server.

1. you server needs updated, run hldsupdatetool.

2. You don't need the "client" to play vip mod it just downloads necessary files manually then.

When I run the HldsUpdateTool, it says, "HLDS installation up to date"

C:\CS-Source_Server\UpdateTool> HldsUpdateTool.exe -command update -game Counter-Strike Source -dir C:\CS-Source_Server

BUT... When I re-run the source server it says, "Your server is out of date. Please update and restart"?????

That's the wrong game name. Try this:

Hldsupdatetool -command update -game "Counter-Strike Source" -verify_all -dir C:\CS-Source_Server

Ill try again in abit though. Nice idea though - I used to enjoy playing these on America's Army but I got bored of Americas army in general so here I am - a counter-strike soldier lol

Major drama with VIP mod.

I need 2 things.

1. A client redistributable file that matches the server install and has all the client files that I can offer as a http download.
2. A sv_downloadurl compatible installation file to put on my sv_downloadurl server

I have a VIP mod server working, and I'm ready to go live, but unless I have files for clients to use, the mod is pretty much useless.

The only files relevant for use on client side are the maps and the vip model file. all of these can be put on the sv_downloadurl so long as they hold the same file directory structure as on the server, and you don't need any extra files or anything for the client, just maps and model, the rest is all server side handled.
