I've created a server in abandoned DarK Messiah MP due to lack of servers.

I would like to log player numbers on my server. For SM veterans, do you know any plugins, which could help me with logging player numbers.

It would be useful this year to see if it make sense to keep up the server online.

Yeah, Gametracker does not have Dark Messiah MP on game list.

are you running Linux or Windows ?

If you are running Linux, there is so called "rsyslog", you can send log events into that and with these message do other thing in Linux.
- If you have opportunity change server OS Linux yourself

game is windows only I assume

and look logs from logs folder ?

There is really no plugin for that? I would like to have monthly statistics to see if and when people play.

I have found https://forums.alliedmods.net/showthread.php?t=230832, but it seems too extended. I only need to log player numbers on the server.

I thought also about Steam API to get number of players, but I would have to learn it most prolly.

Can you tell more specific, how this "static" should work ?
In file ? In database using MySQL ?

I'm pretty sure, if you just enable log, you can read log files after month, is there any activity...

I think I will write a python script to go through logs and look for "connected"/"disconnected" lines and wrap it up in one single file.
