[help] how to change bot/ player state ?

Is it possible to change the state of a bot ?

like bot_A becomes a player, and when you type "status" in console, the bot_A isnt a bot anymore.

any idea ?

So, another way: is it possible to create player wich is a fake but not bot ?

like a real player but without playing and witout the status of bot.

Anyway what Lou's asking is if there's a way to fool the server into thinking a BOT is a real player to bypass VALVe's filterring of servers with Fake Clients.

For me the only visible difference between a bot and a player is the authentication string in the log file. For a player it is sth like <STEAM_0:0

while a bot just says <BOT>.
If this were the only thing that makes a 'player' a bot...wouldn't replacing the string <BOT> with something like a Steam authorization id let a bot look like a real player?

The questions are then:
- is this the only thing that identifies a player as a bot or if there is other things that aren't visible.
- Can you change the authorization id of a bot.
- If you can get a bot to have a fake Steam authorization id, so that it appears as if it were a real player, then will it not be kicked and or banned by Steam for having an invalid/fake Steam id?

Another questions are:
- there is a hidden variables: botcount and clientcount: is it possible to change their value (and how ?)
- how hhook the challenge send by the server when player/master server query the server ?

I doubt many will help you in bypassing the valve filter that was put in place to stop lame spam servers tricking people into joining them by using bots.

And even if the SM devs did think this feature a good addition - valve would probably patch around it - like they do all the other "hacks" that trick people and degrade the image of the game.

I know I sound like a troll... But the days of bad servers full of bots is over - and I for one am very pleased about it.
