Why would you get a 64bit processor when Windows does not yet support 64bit natively?

That sounds like a stupid investment. Believe me, AMX Mod X is hosted on a 64bit machine running linux natively, and unless you know what you're doing it can be a hassle. More numbers doesn't mean you're 1337-er.

Not entirely true, Windows 64 bit addition .

I dont plan on getting this, but b/c I am getting a 64 Bit processor I might as well run linux.

Its going to partition my hardrive, one side, Linux (Mandrake) other Windows (XP HOME).

Yes it is entirely true. That version of Windows does not exist yet.

And when it does exist, would you really want to use a version of Windows that is so crippled?

Getting AMD64 for Windows means you're still using the AMD 32bit ABI. Save yourself the money and get a high performance Athlonwhatever.

I'll agree on that on any cause. Pentium=Suckage. When they heat up, they slow down and they don't speed back up until you restart the computer or something. With AMD Athlon, they slow down, but they DO speed back up.
I'm pretty sure of all of this....

    1. Nope, take a look at the website.
    2. It does too, (Download Link For Microsoft 64bit addion.
  1. Nah its not crippled, look Windows XP 64-Bit Edition Overview.
  2. AMD = Good.
    Intel = Bad.
    Do we need to go other this one more time?
