I'm seeing what looks like the same kind of HUD as in L4D in DoD:S now. However it seems:

- sm_spray_usehud has no effect (or else the HUD and hint text look exactly the same, not that I care cuz I'm seeing something at least). Should this setting change immediately when the cvar is changed?
- on either sm_spray_usehud setting, and with sm_spray_fullhudadmin enabled, I am not seeing the player's SteamID, just the name. I don't really mind that much, but I would prefer to see the SteamID.

Yeah, changing the HUD cvar is not working for me either, weird. I'll see if and when the server restarts it'll kick in or not but very strange. (TF2)

Also, same as roachy but with sm_spray_usehud 1 I can see the steamid but set at zero I don't see the steamid.

edit: gone back to 5.7 for now but I can still test the new version on our test server for you!

Scratch that, the SteamIDs are showing up now, dunno if it was a map change or server restart or something that fixed it but it's workin now ;]

Scratch that again, I've since restarted, unloaded, and loaded various plugins to try to test why our server is experiencing some small lag spikes, and now I am not seeing the SteamIDs anymore.. again. I'm not sure what it is that dictates when the HUD msg will or will not show IDs.

At first I thought maybe it only showed them after I used the "status" command on my local client, but I just tried that and they didn't start showing up. It's almost like some certain event has to happen before they will show, but heck if I know what that is.

it's probably an error in my boolean, or in the tracking of the cvar changes.

I'll look into it.
