Plugins should work in both dedicated or local servers, if the plugin verifies that just remove the IsDedicatedServer() check in the sourcecode and recompile it.

Wow.
Can I do this fix for [L4D2] Charger Actions?
Gives you a warning that it only supports dedicated servers?

^ Incapped weapons has no IsDedicatedServer() string.

I couldn't test this plugin because I got some signature errors, but check if it was loaded by the "sm plugins list" console command.

e.g. <Failed> "[L4D2]Incapped Weapons" by xZk

The author doesn't support listen servers. It is better to ask him the reason why it wouldn't work in local.

the reason is because the plugin that it requires(Mission and Weapons - Info Editor), no longer supports listen servers, or at least the function that it requires to use, which is the modification of weapons.
So why not use a dedicated server?

Theres nothing stopping it working on Listen servers. Afaik it should all work.

There is another work around to fixing the gascan bug due to changing the weapon type...onmapstart delete all pistol/magnum spawners on the map and replace them with regular pistols/magnums. I could be wrong but I only ever seen the gascan appear on pistol/magnum spawners. if u want to imitate a spawner pile just create several pistols/magnums in the same spot, it works and not that difficult to do if it does affect melee spawners you can do the same...scan for all spawners on the map, get their locations, delete them, replace them. Honestly though I stopped using incapped melee simply because the bots are retarded and keep trying to pickup melee weapons, regardless if you allow them to or not, they think they are pistols.
