Not by the server itself. Player can type "clear" command in the console manually.

Is there a max lines count? i have a picture 160 chars each line, it cut's off, random, in the middle of line 40-60.

Who checks their console on joining a server? I'm a little lost. I've loaded it, looks great in console, but who looks there? unless I have missed something and its supposed to print in chat also. Someone fill me in on the purpose?

Many players check console on joining a server.
Most times I join the first thing I type is status to view everyones id's and such and so I have their info if someone is hacking and so on.

It's also there for anyone who likes to record demos and so on.

Yeah i can't really argue any of that jake. i must admit though 80% of players need to be told how to open console but i suppose its a nice perk for us that know. Thanks for your opinion Jake cheers

is it possible that someone can type !command (just a example) and it shows the welcome message in console instead of it only showing when you connect?
