You won't be able to use the full available speed at the same time as all the other customers on the same server.

When you're all using the network at once, you will experience degraded performance compared to if you are the only one of their customers using it at the given time.

Downloads (generally network traffic) passing through multiple continents are also well known to influence your overall performance in a negative direction.
