Upgrading to the new Amxx 1.6

Hey i have amxx 1.0 and need to know if there is a way to "upgrade" without having to do a full re-install of the amxx. I have spent alot of time configuring the amxx 1.0 and would hate to have to "redo" everything just to update. Please advise as a simple "just delete the old and upload the new amxx will not do. thanks.

1) You have to upload all new plugins. Fact.
2) You have to upload a new version of metamod. Fact
3) You have to upload the new modules. Fact
4) You have to upload the new lang files. Fact
5) You can keep most of your config directory. Don't see a problem there.

Other than that its basically uploading new.
