Wow buddy, that's very enlightening. Maybe you should instead:

A) Consider that it is harder than clicking a few buttons to run a server, due to port forwarding, bandwidth, and computer speeds,

B) Post this in the Steam forums or Counterstrike forums, rather than here.

C) Post stuff that isn't complete common sense (eg, port forwarding is not common sense and most people would not think of that the moment they had any problems)

i go though and set up the entire server for you, then i the last step i talk about port forwarding, firewalls, and router settings and things like that, i cant set those up for you, so you have to puts with that and there would be 100x more pictures if i went though every kind of way to do it, baiscly if you have a router i said you need to forward the ports (which reminds me i should of added a little bit about upnp forwarding) and DMZ yourself and take down firewalls and such, and to play with it, did you even look ? besdies whats wong with posting it here, its an amx mod installer guide also, and besdies it might be a little much to ask of the users but they can figure out weither or not your compy and internet are good enough to run a server, if it lags when your normally playing cs, yea theres a good indication right there, besdies you can run a simple clan server off a cable modem which can hold a decent amount of players

Ill Edit It So It Makes It More Manageable

I can run a 32 person server with my home connection, (the pings rise to about 10 more than normal after 30 people, but it's stable at 32). The sad thing is, after 6 months of admining that server, I've had at least 100 people with dialup ask me how to make a server.

Other than that, you're right, this is a pretty good tutorial. Good job.

If you want to improve it, you should add something about how to check your computer speed (My Computer > Properies) and your connection speed (dslreports.com > Tests+Tools > Speed Test), just so they know you can't run a server on a P2 400 mhz job with dialup

You can run a pretty good server with 128 MB of RAM, it's just better with 512. It's the CPU that really matters.

Also you should use dslreports.com's speed test, it's the best one out there and has more than one location.

I originally had a 500mhz Celeron with 128 MB of RAM running a smooth 8 person server, but now I have an AMD Athlon XP 2200+ with 512 MB of RAM.

My connection during the service of both of these comps was 5 MB downstream (best I ever got was 4.7), and 800 kb upstream (best I ever got was 934). I'm running it on a cable modem, not hacked.

EDIT: Oh I didn't notice, thanks for adding the dslreports.com test.
