If you have the SM reporting the error:
<FAILED> file "connect.ext.so": cstrike/addons/sourcemod/extensions/connect.ext.so: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

(example for CS:S/linux) Download Snapshot 1.2 and rename connect.ext.2.css.so to connect.ext.so then restart your server.

There is no need to rename the file, the filename is there to tell SM that that build of the extension is for CS:S.

Which, of course, doesn't work if he's using SourceMod 1.4 since it doesn't recognize CS:S as its own engine.

Make support for the game Insurgency, really need this extension.
Very good idea with the password before connecting to the server.

In what way? Do you mean you have no plans to support it, or that you won't support it until there is a non-dev branch of SourceMod/Metamod?
