Is it possible to block/restrict external queries on an HLDS server? Like when game-monitor or serverspy or another site wants to poll your server for info. Can I totally block it? or can I restrict it to just selected/specific ones?

ummm, certain routers do this... I know for a fact that my router does it because its been running for about 50 days now and still hasnt been displayed in the internet serverlist pool and its in the DMZ port 27015 forwarded properly to all ports...

my suggestion is trying to find a way to only allow the agent: Half-Life to connect to port 27015, then when they try to see your server they will get a timeout... for only allowing certain services to see your server, register your server with them with a nonstandard query port...

Best information I can give you

Try adding the -nomaster switch to HLDS. This way it won't show up in the server list, and hopefully the queries will stop.

danielkza I have a question now... if -nomaster means it wont show up in the server list -master is SUPPOSED to make it show in the pool correct?

PHP Code:
if yes
then
"why does my server not join the list?"
else
end

I don't think there is such a switch, the server will contact the master servers by default.
