I had the same error when I first time install the server, but somehow I mess stuff around and it was downloading files, but this time no matter what I do the error stays there...

I did tried to use google, did not find a solution yet, but I will continuing search. Thank you for helping if you got suggestions.

This new update method is such a pain, no idea why valve making a crappy updater instead of continuing use the steamupdatetool.

delete everything except for steamcmd and steam.sh and try again. this worked for me.

Weird, one of the SteamCMD works... The other still giving the same error...
Running two servers and using two seperate SteamCMD to update file..xD

EDIT: After one of the servers successfully updated and the other also updated without error.. This is weird, but I have a feeling that it will happen again in the next update.
