All you need to do is drop the advertisments.smx into your plugins folder, then edit the advertisements.txt in the configs folder to your liking. Nothing more is needed.

Okay i know there is a way to make it so that certain admin cant see messages but i have read this entire forums and found nothing that said or anyone asking how to make it so that only certain admin can see messages... Any help?
And if possible is there a way to keep both..

Thats not what i want....
Say i want only admins with root access to see a message that means i have to enter all other flags for them not to see it..

Hi,

I have been experimenting with this plug for a couple of hours now, and I can't get it to work properly.

Manually loading the plug, changing the adverts filename and then reloading the adverts works as intended, adverts are showing ingame.

But, when I add this to the individual servers (I am running forked configs), it doesn't work at all.

Code:
sm_advertisements_enabled 1
sm_advertisements_file l4d_advertisements.txt
sm_advertisements_interval 1800
Listing the cvars after the server has started shows that they still have their default values, advertisements.txt and 30 second intervals.

I'm guessing this may have something to do with the load timing of the server? (I get no errors about the sm_ cvars being unknown in the console as the server boots up)

Anyway, if I change the settings, and then leave the server (as a player), the settings do not persist on to the next server instance.

I can live with the filename being default value, but the 30 second delay I can't, so, can anyone help?

Also, T messages do not work in Left 4 Dead 2, I don't know if this is an engine limitation, or if it can be fixed in the script code.

the colors don't seem to work in TF2. tested with T messages. it doesn't replace the {placeholders}. am I missing here any requirement ??
