Hi,

i want a new machine for hosting csgo servers. anyone have a Ryzen 7 5800X? in terms of single thread performance he is top 5 of the list (PassMark 3,504), so i guess i wil choose a good one? Or should i use an intel cpu?

I usually go for the highest single-thread performance possible.

Example could be:
i9-11900KF/F
AMD Ryzen 7 5800/X
AMD Ryzen 9 5900/X
AMD Ryzen 9 5950X

They are all very good.
If you are looking for server hardware, I'm pretty happy with most of the coffee lake based Xeons with integrated graphics.

If you're going for single threaded, 5800x beats all of them especially for the price. In a month I will have both a 5800x and a 5950x server I can post results from. Currently, 5800x beats 5950x in single threaded performance so if you're factoring in price, it is a solid choice; however, if you want to host many servers then 5950x would be a more optimal choice for the amount of cores/threads needed for additional servers.
