Thanks dubbeh! I did notice the logging option in the config and had already turned it on but there is nothing related to MOTD Fixer or Radio.

Sounds like the data is getting sent correctly and everything is running right - Will run some local tests with the direct method on YouTube videos tomorrow.

Hey, Think it might be 2 possibilities.

MOTD Fixer might need to specify a different media type in the <object> tag, or certain YouTube videos not allowing to be embedded.

Going to run some tests later today and work out where stuff is going wrong.

Managed to get this working quite fast, was actually pretty easy to fix. Just need to modify the YouTube video links a little and make sure they support/allow embedding.

Say you have a video with the link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J_ub7Etch2U

Make sure to save the video ID and modify it to look something like this inside radiodirect.txt : https://www.youtube.com/embed/J_ub7Etch2U?autoplay=1 instead of using the standard link above.

We want the autoplay=1 so it will play in the background.

A couple of questions,

Are there any plans to add user playlists? Say a user does the following:

!createplaylist MyAwesomePlaylist
!addsong youtubeurl MyAwesomePlaylist
!shareplaylist MyAwesomePlaylist - Makes it public to everyone in the server and they can listen (NOT eavesdrop)

I understand this would require a lot of time to code and wouldn't be easy. I just wanted to know if it is in the plans or is in the scope of this project.

That's perfectly possible with Radio right now but would require a few details from the YouTube API.

Would need to retrieve things like the video duration for when to auto-switch song for example and save an internal timer, also the ability to save user playlists.

Might be better to release a different music type system with the ability to use media files and YouTube/SoundCloud etc. Radio was mostly made to use radio stations xD

It's definitely something I'm interested in looking in to for sure

Hey, The links for the YouTube videos have to be modified a little bit (Need to make sure they're embedded for MOTD Fixer).

Ahh I did see the autoplay part in your last post but missed the embed part. I really need to work on my attention to detail xD. Thanks!

Edit I do remember you saying there wouldn't be volume control for YT before I even started doing this. Is this because you need to add the function into the plugin itself? Is there a value I can already edit and recompile?

Or is it controlled by PHP scripts on your webserver?
