I have skins on my dust2 server and I don't get any players complaining about error skins.
I still think it might be how the pure list might be configured for skin use.

Double check the file at path css\hl2\pure_server_whitelist.txt
Don't do CRC checks on them because the clients may all have different custom models and the server won't have them all

I have this in my pure_server_whitelist.txt file

	models\player\...		allow_from_disk
	materials\models\player\...	allow_from_disk
	materials\models\characters\...	allow_from_disk
	models\characters\...		allow_from_disk
	models\weapons\...		allow_from_disk
	materials\models\weapons\...	allow_from_disk

Hi,
Personally I won't edit my white list as I use sv_pure 0. And to me, it is confirmed: it happens if I join my war server, and then join the normal server. I see error skins, even if I had already downloaded them.
Also I think it is linked to zblock.
When you come from a war server with zblock installed and sv_pure 2, you have to quit CS:S to join normal servers again, or else skins won't apply. I had no pbs with custom sounds though.

and it didn't help.
If I join my war server which uses zblock and sv_pure 2, then join (without quiting the game) one of my ffa servers with sv_pure 0, I see error skins after the server has forced me to re-download the files.

I'm having problems with this. Everything is fully setup but when the person is done downloading the skins, the server gets stuck on "Sending client info..." then crashes?

Agreed it is a ZBlock issue and not a Sm_Skinchooser error

If you go for the CT, no problem. If you go for the T, is a server crash.

I have a classic server, running a long time, it is a plugin skinchooser, version 2.1

If old plugin run on a GunGame, everything works fine.

Call the ZBLOCK makers to fix their addon......

Just to let you know that I made the test with a sv_pure 2 server without zBlock: same problem. The problem is linked to sv_pure 2, not necessary zBlock.
