I use 1.7+ and motdgd_adverts.smx works for me. The problem is there was an error with the 1.7 compiler so the plugin wouldn't compile, so use 1.8+ to compile.

I'm not going to allow this thread to be de-railed with a debate any further. This thread is meant for feedback, support and questions ideally.

Anyway, back on topic. I'll be releasing an update within the next couple of days to fix the incompatibility with 1.7's compiler. As for events not firing when they should, are you definitely using the latest version?

Hi, The plugin isn't working properly for me. I rent my server from multiplay, and they have a MOTD.txt setup, is it possible I will need to edit this document for the plugin to work correctly?

The issue is that in TF2 ads are redisplayed at the configured time regardless of what the player is doing rather than waiting for them to die. Running around, fighting, afk.. the ad is played. This is much more annoying than just having to hear them in the first place and leads to a majority of players simply disabling the ads.
