well, currently I have a complement of tracks with custom particles, I would like to know how my client downloads the files (.txt and pcf) I put all the files in my fastdl page but when I enter my game my client cannot download the .txt with the new added particles or .pcf, so I can see the trace particles, however I can see the particles added to those text files, because I have them in my L4D2 to test before I put them on my server. Can anyone help? I read on another forum that the simple_download.inie file is needed, but this one still doesn't work, I don't test it. I'll update the post when I do. then someone will know how to fix it or if it is done with another plugin

Example .txt
PHP Code:
maps/c1m1_hotel_particles.txt

You can't replace/overwrite clients already exist files.

once downloaded they can't be replaced as Bacardi said.

one solution that some server owners use is sharing a VPK in the steamworkshop, so you can "update" it in the client.
