Then it's not a problem with the plugin - check spelling, etc, and also what commands are registered to the plugin from the server console.

I thought you had to edit that part, didn't really notice the config part in the OP. How would I go about making a config file for it?

The config is auto-generated and placed in your modroot/cfg/sourcemod/ directory.

The config file isn't there. I deleted the plugin, tables, etc and downloaded ct bans again. It still didn't make a config.

My fault, on second glance it doesn't have the code to make the default config file. Change the settings in your SP and recompile to make certain they're being used at default values. I'd recommend changing the gH_Cvar_JoinBanMessage to some other text but don't change the other settings.

The config file will be added in the next version which will come out shortly after 1.4.0 is released.

You'll need to take a look at /addons/sourcemod/configs/databases.cfg and fix your default database connection. Many times on Linux this is due to the mysql.sock not being in the expected location. It's often easier to specify a local SQLite database and avoid debugging the SQL config. Change the sm_ctban_database_driver to the SQLite driver and you'll be set.
