Animated Transparent sprite with velocity

Hello.
I've searched the forum to find the solution but results wasn't really helpful.

I only know how to create entity with .mdl model.
I want to spawn to animated transparent sprite at xOrigin and give it a xVelocity.
Is it possible by new ent = create_entity("info_target") and setting its properties? As far as I read on the forum it's impossible in this way and I need to use some other functions related to set_pev.
Also - can I set which color is transparent in sprite or its set by sprite itself?
