Is there a plugin that will translate the chat as it happens in real time? We get a lot of foreign players in the early morning and would like to be able to talk to them. Just wondering if there is a plugin to do this.

If by real time you mean: sends english words to webserver (translate.google.com) -> webserver translates -> sends english words back to server -> server prints message out. Players would exploit this to lag the network connection of your server.

Don't get me wrong it's a good idea. just wouldn't be in real time, and would need to have some kind of socket open or something to read the page of google.translate

Says you would need an api key and need to pay for the services for using REST. which most likely isn't cheap.

Should be possible. if i were to run it on a server I own, i'd just make it a admin command or atleast throttle it to every so often you can translate. I wouldn't go as far as translating every chat message from foreign to english vise versa.
