Is there any plugin which already checks if a player is in a specific Discord server?

If not I would suggest creating one as Discord is now one of the top communicating platforms.
If it would be possible:
Check if a player is in a specific Discord
Check if a player has a specific role
Check if the player has a specific role which is not allowed (like 'Banned') meaning they aren't allowed to connect.

I have already seen that it is possible on other games like FiveM so I hope it would be possible here too.

How would that work? Since you can't tell if a steam account is associated with a specific discord user

Leaving a Discord also means that you are leaving all the roles you have there.

So if you have been assigned roles like "Banned", "Troublemaker", ... whatever, I can simply leave your Discord (and re-join, if public), and I won't have those roles any more..

Just a thing for you to consider, before you invest too much time in trying to accomplish something that won't really work 100% as intended in the end.

Ideally, you could develop a companion discord bot to keep track of users with those roles and reassign them but I guess at that point you might as well just use a system like sourcebans

That kind of thing has also crossed my mind, but again, for the original purpose it'll be patching up kludge after kludge...

In theory, you would be much better of connecting your stuff with your own website (e.g. a forum), where you're 100% in control of everything yourself (which you won't be with stuff like Discord).

These things will be included in my DSM plugin, the thread will be updated once I'm done with the development part, there is an early version already but I dont suggest to use that version, wait for the new one
