As an example, in tf2 this would remove the text stating "capture the enemy control points to end the round" or something like that? If so bravo sir.

hmm dunno if the text is triggered by the map then yes.

This was tested in HL2M where as example a pressed button triggered the game_text entity.

I wrote it because we had some deathmatch maps, which had some annoying hud text messages (game_text).

I look for a screenshot...

You mean the sort of text the map maker puts in to show who made the map?

As a map maker for HL2DM, I find the idea of doing that a bit offensive, but then on my maps the text, which only appears for a few seconds, is near the bottom of the screen and doesn't affect the players line of sight or interfere with aiming.

I suppose I can't expect players to appreciate the hours some map makers put into creating a nice playing environment for them, for free.

hmm you are right but we had some maps where the player aim where blocked...

I thought the mappers still insert a custom texture with their name and website etc.

I don't want to block the mappers name or something... I got an idea for that if the text is outside of the players view and not shown the hole time it stays with in the plugin.

to prevent that more admins dl this version which deletes all game_texts...
