Whwnever i create a half life dedicated server for cs1.6 on internet and when i try to join the server,it always shows me an error "lan servers are restricted to local clients (class c)".I really dont know wat should i do about dis..how should i remove dis error..plz ppl guide me...

sv_lan 0 maybe?

"lan servers are restricted to local clients (class c)" shows up when i create a newgame server and my friends try to join. The server is only for lan then. just type sv_lan 0 in server.cfg or something.

you said that you had a dedicated server... when you are starting it that little window will pop up with settings about servername, map ect. maybe you have "lan" instead of "internet" in the settings there...

Did you try connect to your server yourself with same computer you have your DS server? Or did you try with other computer?

If with other computer, then you may have forget setup LAN as it should be Internet. After that your router may block all connections, so you must open one port to give access to other players over internet.
