New version 1.0.6 is released.

- Admins are immune if they have any of the following flags "abcdfz"
- Fix accidentally banning admins after rewriting the code in 1.0.4.
- Fix grenade damage can now be dealt to a player after reaching the Teammate FF limit as long as the damage is above grendmg_min (where damage will not be counted as FF) and below grendmg_max.

New version 1.0.7 is released.

- Add ability to ban by IP address instead of clientID, by entering negative l4d_ff_ban values.


This feature is not really recommended unless you require it for an existing server setup.

Is there a way I can make it so any FF damage dealt by a player is in turn dealt to themselves? I think that would make for great incentive to be careful. Thanks

You could do that with http://forums.alliedmods.net/showthread.php?t=85050, but it wont work with this plugin.

Hey, nice plugin!
I just wanna get 1 thing straight... If l4d_ff_banduration is set to 0, that means that the player will be banned for 0 (meaning infinite) minutes, right?

No, that means don't ban. Originally l4d_ff_ban didn't exist because there was only 1 limit, so this was the old way of telling it not to ban.

I could have made it a perm ban, but if a server had the FF settings too tight they would accidentally ban players for too long. Instead, I recommend banning for a few hours. If it was an accident, then no big deal. If it was on purpose, then the player would either learn their lesson or get banned again.

With this plugin it is very hard for a player to ruin the game. I would recommend smaller limits with a short ban duration, instead of high limits with a permanent ban. With higher settings you will have less accidental bans, but a griefer would achieve his goal and the game would be ruined.


If enough people wanted it I could allow perm bans. But I think a better solution would be to store a timestamp with the player's steamid, and only perm ban repeat offenders within X days.

Does it reset the counter at every mapchange, or does it remember the damage dealt throughout an entire campaign?
