hello everyone

i am a new member in this site ...i need help about valve hammer editor ..i made a map like fy_iceworld in cs 1.6 but a bigger one ...btw everything is ok no error while press alt+p .. but when put it in map and start it i got this error

fatal error

Bad surface extents 768/0 at position (512,256176)



so please anyone know about this error help me


actually i am new to valve also and this is first time i made a map but the problem is no error in valve so what should i do ..

and i am sorry about my english

Did you clip any object? If so and you still want it in your map then make it func_detail

really i am sorry bro u have to be patient with me

look actually i learning making map by valve hammer on youtube so i do what i want exactly and when save it i got that error ...anyway

now i think everything you would ask me about is new for me so please just tell e how to do that Output log

Okay.. so there's an incorrectly clipped or morphed object with the texture B_CP_V41N, find it, then "to entity" (go ctrl+t) and make it func_detail (type func_detail in the bar)

thank you again to replay actually it's fixed

actually i don't know what error was but what i did ... i make new sky box and change it trexture with a different pixel .. so i used the normal sky and else i edit the buyzone and run the map and everything goes good ..... thank you man for your support

OMG. Looks like you use Quake compiler .

First of all: forgot about VHE:
Use Jackhammer (short Tutorial)

You can use compilers which contains Jackhammer, but better to use this one.

Looks like you fixed "Bad surface extents" error.

thank you man for your reply and support actually yes i fixed it although i don't know what the problem was maybe i used something wrong but it fixed now and thank you all for support

btw ... i had tried jackhammer but didn't understand it as a valve also i found many Tutorial of valve in english but jackhammer most of them in Russian any all fixed now and i am still learning
