TF2FIX 1.3.1
  • New fixes:
    • Fixed an infinite powerup exploit in Mann vs Machine
    • Fixed Soda Popper and Baby Face Blaster meters being interchangeable
  • The Scrap Metal fix now disables event broadcasting instead of canceling the event
  • Fixed the Uber Kamikaze fix not completely using user IDs
  • Removed unfinished Red-Tape Recorder fix
That's...it? Yerp, that's it. I wanted to add more, but...ugh. That exploit. It's just...ugh. Too bad Valve uses 100% vanilla servers, so this won't be fixed in Mann Up until Valve fixes it themselves. I was on a Mann Up-spree until I saw the exploit...but anyhoozle. You guys aren't Valve. I won't complain any more to you guys

Also, this is my first time updating a Updater-supported plugin. If you've got Updater set up, and it's been a few hours, and you still don't have 1.3.1, let me know.

A HUGE thanks for this fix!

Last night everyone on my server was either running or being taught how to run this hack. Nice to have the MvM game playable again.

Sorry..some new bug here:

(I'm chinese so im using chinese client,sorry..but maybe you can understand what upgrade it is by icons)
The scout/spy or some other class(I'm not sure,but I know these 2),some of there upgrade can't be full upgrade.

TF2Fix doesn't do anything involving upgrades themselves. The only MvM thing it does is removing the uber/crit conds after 5 seconds of Canteen usage. Maybe you modified your upgrades file, but you forgot?

That should be working, judging by the code that's there...the revengeCrits variable gets reset for the victim upon death. If it's not, let me know, and I'll definitely try to fix it next time I test.

Valve released a TF2 update a while ago that fixes the main MvM exploit involving canteens. Finally. Doesn't matter if you keep the fix on, all it does is remove the uber/crit cond 5 seconds after it's applied, which MvM now seems to make sure is done.

However: the bigger exploit I mentioned is not fixed, and probably can't be fixed without an extension. Iunno if it can even be fixed there. Here's a hint: it can cause a server crash.

What if the +2s uber/crit/whatever upgrade is bought (including when a medic applies their canteens to others)? Does the 5 second removal increase appropriately?

If I've been paying attention at all, the +2 uber time upgrade doesn't affect canteens. However, if they do for some reason (or if Valve increased canteen time) and Valve set the time float in the event properly, then yes.

EDIT: Also...I just realized gilmon was probably mentioning a TF2 bug, not a bug with TF2Fix. Still, though, I can't really touch upgrades, seeing as Valve doesn't have any events fire or anything...
