Would probably cooler if you used like exploding crossbow bolts instead. Same function, but you wouldn't need to pay for a custom model, and I personally think it would be cooler. I don't even think minethrower's exist like that, lol. This isn't batman.

You should see the weapon in RE4, it looks cooler there.
