Hey

I am having trouble with getting MetaMod to work with the Source Dedicated Server on windows.

I have done everything that is outlined in the Install document... and got it to work with putting it in the counter-strike folder, and running the .BAT file that was surgested in another topic.

The problem is the the GameInfo.txt file keeps being over written, when I try to run the dedicated server via steam. I have installed everything in the dedicated server\cstrike folder. I tried to use the BAT file to run the dedicated server exe (i changed all the required fields) but it get a message that the source.dll has not been loaded/is not loaded, try reinstalling. Im not sure if there is a way to make a shortcut that stops it over writing the Gameinfo file...

Everything is installed correctly and have go it working with noremal CS:S.
Any help on how to get the dedicated server running with MM would be great.

Thanks
NW

Did you try setting the file to read-only?

If you're running 'source dedicated server' from the Steam menu on Windows XP/2000:

Go to "C:\Program Files\Valve\Steam\SteamApps\djpimpsamurai\sou rce dedicated server\cstrike"

Right Click on "gameinfo.txt" and click on Properties.

Make sure Read-Only is CHECKED under "Attributes."

There, I think I Noob-A-Fy'd it enough for you. ;)
