Does this work for tanks? I had another witch control plugin that is older, but it didnt work with tanks, only hunters and smokers and stuff. My server is 8vs8 TAAANNK Mutation, so it would be nice if 1 of my tanks could take control of the witch and pwn somebody.

Slightly buggy, the witch ai still over rides the players actions. need to disable witch ai in the next version.

This Play as witch plugin is better in some area's but the other plugin from DJ-west is a smoother experience when controlling the witch.

Your plugin has the potential to be a improved version of Witch control with more features if you work out the kinks (such as the ai trying to do it's own actions when controlling her (mostly).

Update from today has caused this plugin to crash my server when I change map to c2m2_fairgrounds. Removed l4d_witch.smx and all is well.

last time i had this plugin it was by DJ west nd it stopped working that above msg worrys me as Dark Carnival is my favorite l4d2 map fix it please then ill use it as somebody did request this plugin on my server recently.

Great plugin. It's a bit glitchy I will add.

The main problem is when startled by a nearby survivor, you fall through, or get stuck in the floor. Mostly, you will be freed within a few seconds, other times you get stuck, and die or fall through the floor.

The other is the fact the Witch AI overrides you. But there is a solution to both.


Simply open the client console, make sure sv_cheats is on 1.

Then type "z_witch_speed 0"
This will stop the witch from moving.
You can still move the witch full speed, but her AI will be unable to move you, thus removing those annoying movements.

Catch is when you get startled, you're stuck there. For that, either use a similar command to reduce her startle radius to 0, or bind "z_witch_speed 1000" to press to regain speed.

I recommend binding it.
Like this:

bind [ "z_witch_speed 0" to stop the Witch.
bind ] "z_witch_speed 1000" to reset her speed.
