About:

Very simple plugin, prevents leaking the servers sv_steamgroup convar to stat tracking websites.
Several people have requested this over the years. Finally releasing.

Click "Get Plugin" and put the .smx file into your servers \addons\sourcemod\plugins\ folder.

Suggestion, send a message on the console/chat to the player who tries to use the command.

It's a cvar that's queried by stat tracking sites. Some server owners will then take that ID and add to their server so their server appears in your steam groups list of servers in-game.

Silly that someone would go through this kind of trouble, when it's as easy as subtracting 29521408 from the last 8 digits of a groups groupID64, which is public, and doesn't require knowing anything other than the URL of the steam group. No one's sv_steamgroup ID is safe until Valve changes the system.

Does this also mean that this plugin can't completely stop them either?

Yes, this plugins only prevent some software get your steamgroup ID, but them could still use this way by manually.
