How do you protect your server for hacks and exploits?

I use HL Shield 2.10 . Is it enough ? And can you post me how do you protect your servers and can you post your method how to prevent hacking/ddosing/hlds_fuck attack and other things...

Don't fix what isn't broken.

The point of my post is to tell you not to use anything if there isn't a point to. As of now, there are no real exploits in regards to HLDS that could have your server crashed.

that is wrong. most exploits targeting the hlds itself and in most situations you can't protect urself.

HLDS used to be exploitable & im sure it still is. But the best thing you can do Is update your server regularly.

Why would you update to something that wasn't updated?

that's wrong again, valve fixes known exploits pretty fast and release them as beta
