Version 2.2 works fine on our TF2 server.

Running the version 2.2 smx file - http://forums.alliedmods.net/attachm...8&d=1217981605

with the geoip file - http://forums.alliedmods.net/attachm...1&d=1217981623

and the last required file, the phrases file - http://forums.alliedmods.net/attachm...5&d=1217984989

With these 3 files Version 2.2 runs fine. Cheers.

It might well work on your TF2 server, but it does not work on my HL2DM servers with all those 3 files in the right places. Confirmed by monkei too. Cheers.

Ok. *sigh*
The important info was the server you are running this plugin on. Now that has been answered by yourself as being a HL2DM server.
Maybe someone running a HL2DM server has it working, or this effects all HL2DM servers.
I take it that monkei runs a CS server and it does not work there...are these Linux servers perhaps...Fredd may have to delve into this a little deeper.

At me Win TF2 Server
Yes I downloaded
cd_announcer.smx
cdannouncer.phrases.txt
geoip.inc
All the same does not work ((

By the way data/cd_logs.log itself it is not created
If to create an empty file that of any errors there is no only all the same a plug-in does not work

With a file cd_announcer.smx
Shows:
L 08/09/2008 - 0:04:42 AM: [SM] [0] Line 43, D: \Projects \hl2 \fredd \SourceMod Plugins \CD Annoucer \cd_announcer.sp:: OnMapStart ()
If to compile cd_announcer.sp
Shows:
L 08/09/2008 - 0:10:12 AM: [SM] [0] Line 43, cd_announcer.sp:: OnMapStart ()

Is it really that boring for you? (*sigh*)

(for Fredd)

6 x HL2DM servers running on Windows Server 2003 and using SM version 1.03

*For information, v2.1 of CD Announcer worked OK

I have 2 dods servers, I put in the sp and the smx files in their appropriate places and nothing shows up on my servers, I would try debugging them, but I have no idea how.

Also can we get instructions on where exactly all the files r supposed to go, like the inc file and the phrases.txt file, as well as the sp and the amx files for those who r not sure where those 2 go?
