Got it, thanks! Now the FF2 model glitch just needs to be fixed...

Have any more info than that? OS? Other extensions/plugins causing issues? Using latest SM snapshots?

I have no guarantees on linux, but this ext completely solves the issues mentioned in the description on windows. All 12 of my servers stopped having issues, along with multiple others reporting issues going away in other threads (like in the FF2 thread).

Another thing to note: a Host_Error exit is not a crash, it's the source engine abandoning ship and terminating the process.

You'll need to be more clear if you're having crashes or the server is calling into Host_Error, as this ext doesn't magically solve server crashes, it only avoids some calls to Host_Error due to the soundprecace stringtable being near full.

Looks useful.

Any chance of zips instead of rars?

This will be a mandatory update.

Apologies for the late release.
No indication on how long it'll be until release, though, nor if it addresses the soundprecacxhe stringtable.

Question: Valve is about to drop their "fix" in an update for these issues. Will it hurt to leave this extension running on PVP servers?

It should be fine to leave it running.
