Hello! I installed TF2 items yesterday along side the Give weapons and Randomizer plugins, but I ran across a problem. When you view yourself in thirdperson, you can clearly see the given items, but other players cannot see them, only yourself. So we played randomizer yesterday with players who look like they are pretending to use guns and they magically shoot (as an example). So, how do I make it so the weapons given aren't invisible in a players hand?

Thank you!

There's nothing you can do about it, as this behavior is intended by Valve.

They originally added it to prevent servers from giving people hats that they didn't have, weapons just got caught up in it presumably by accident.

Well, you just made me feel pretty unhappy. That's pretty dumb. So if I where to make my own weapon with my own model, would it have the same effect? I'm looking to code a friend's weapon into my server but if it does this then I won't worry about it.

That I'm not sure about; I've never tried it.

I also don't know if changing the weapon index in the TF2Items_OnGiveNamedItem forward to a new weapon using TF2Items_SetItemIndex will change what the weapon looks like (or make it invisible).

Where are those settings located in the files? I may try what you're saying if you mean it may make my items become visible.

It'd require a custom plugin rather than just the TF2 Give Weapons plugin.

Eh, unless you know of a plugin that already has this modification, do you think it would be easy enough for me to craft something up with what you think may do the trick? I don't know how to make SM plugins, but if you could send me a guide on how to, and then what I need to do to add these commands, I would be very appreciative!
