You use it to store password in NOT readable/understandable format.

When user registers, convert password to hash and insert it to database (don't insert password).
When user tries to log in, convert password to hash and compare it with hash in database instead of comparing password.
This way if you open database you will not be able to see what is the password used by user.

As you can see it's not such a bad idea. It's much better than storing passwords as plain text.

Little suggestion. Try to connect with mysql login and register part and then return the query in the menu with sockets to see *if username reg, pass, etc...
This i think will get some unique dynamic to this menu on any server with this plugin.
