Hi people,

Im gong to host few csgo server and i have doubts about how achieve the best performance out of my hardware, i bought a 6c 16GB server and i wonder if should i use it with centos and than just install the csgo files and run multiple servers OR virtualize the csgo server, i dont know if i was clear explaining but in a nutshell it would be something like:

Option1

One fisical server running 6 csgo servers (6c/16gb)

Option2

3 virtual server (2c/4gb each), and running 2 csgo server on each VM


I like more the idea of using virtual machine but dont know about the performance, what do you guys think?

Virtualization always causes some degree of performance penalty by the overhead introduced through the virtual machine.
So unless you have other reasons to separate the workflow by using virtual machines I wouldn't recommend it.
