Although I agree on most of your other points, this really is a weak argument. Just create recovery media, download a Windows installation image (yes, there are legal sources and you can verify the hashes afterwards) and install Windows from scratch using the key that you'll find on the bottom of the laptop.

That may have been working for you, but I have now tried many times to do that, and each time it comes out writing that the key is invalid. Why I do not know, but that is how it is when I have tried it.

I even tried installing a copy of windows 7 that I am using for my desktop. When looking for drivers all I was able to find at that time was outdated and crappy ones.

Times may have changed, but it is not more than 2 years since I've tried it.

Also, I believe the ASUS ROG series let you overclock. Yet something else I do not get when it comes to laptops, the lack of overclock.

i highly recommend AMD Anthlon dual core 3000Mhz(or more) prossecors since they can easily be overclocked and are kickass processors!( dunno for laptops )

take a crappy computer and put thoose prossecors and a good cooler then overclock to the point you cant go futher.

Congratulations! you got a computer witch open pages within less then a halv second

AMD athlon is an outdated processor. The athlon II which has been on the market for some time now is going to be taken out of production as well when Bulldozer hits the shelves.

Athlon was good 10 years ago, keep up.

Alienware is a gaming laptop.
I never said anything about reading... ? He said mainly for games/movies, i gave him Asus as suggestion. There are at least 15 different Asus gaming laptops. About your audio compare... That Asus model has subwoofer. Like Jelle said Alienware is overpriced.

No, there is not.
Since I am reviewing the newest AMD hardware, I work closely with them, and I have in fact received a road map on how they want to release the new bulldozer, and they also state that the Athlon is dead. They stated that in an email about half a year ago. This is the Athlon II. The athlon I has been dead for many years now. Get over it, and move on.

Yeah, the ROG series is just awesome. I bet your laptop has ROG connect, where you can connect your laptop to another computer via USB and monitor it with that too. I have also tried using a HTC phone to control it with.

Yet another reason to pick ASUS.

Got a dell xps 15, http://www.dell.com/uk/p/xps-l502x/p...l_id=xps-l502x
I heard that it was quite good and I kept seeing it on youtube when I was looking at reviews of certain laptops.

A GeForce GT525M is not a very good graphics card, and you will certainly not be able to play black ops very good.
