Guide to getting fast dl working

I cannot for the like of me get downloading to work for my cs go server and I really just want to rage at this point, so can I get a idiot proof guide to what the crap I need to do to get this to work.

ah lovely. The oh you are a idiot who must not of tried searching yet. I have tried every little bit of info I could find and still nothing.

No, i tried to search my self first and on the first page i found 2 tuts. So then i assumed that you were another lazy person so i linked you to the search page.

Ugh this is what I hate. Every single question has to be met with the you are a idiot, to dumb to use a computer. No one can ever just answer they have to treat you like shit first.

If you were to ask a question like

"Hay i am trying to set up a fast dl on a game server using my own website and i am getting error 404 on all requests here is my current config, I have tried this this and this to try to fix it with no luck can some one please help me out"

That would have ended up with a better reply, you have just said hay i can not read or trouble shoot on my own please do it for me. IE why i will not help you more then pointing you to the search.

Found the one random cvar that was causing issues. sm_cvar net_maxfilesize default 17 max 64.

That would only affect in-channel downloads.

Fastdl:
sv_downloadurl "http://<my_fast_dl.com>/<my_user>/<gamedir>/" (don't forget the quotes)
maps go into: "/<server_ip_port>/<gamedir>/maps/"
archived maps go into: "/<fast_dl_ip_port_if_any>/<gamedir>/maps/"

Causes for 'missing map':
-if dl url is not empty but there is no fast dl version
-older versions with same name (might give "map differs from server's")
-map name too big (30 chars or so)
-map size above net_maxfilesize (default is 16, not 64)
-capitalization can cause problems also
-additional step that the admin can try is to clean his download and downloadlist folders
