I found a bug in it where a player using half zatoichi triggers a ban. I changed the plugin to only ban if the player uses tf_weapon_compound_bow.

I still don't know exactly why this happens. I think that the game engine, instead of healing the player, it triggers a negative damage from the victim

Is the exploit also triggerable through Crossbows? If I'm not wrong, they use a different weapon classname: tf_weapon_crossbow

No, The plugin only triggers by negative damage, Crossbows effectively heals the target if allied. The only case of incorrect banning was with the katana.
I did not managed to reproduce the bug by myself, I just deduced this by seeing the logs in rare cases players get banned after some time using the katana
