Tampering with old commands false positive?

Today we had 3 people banned for tampering with an old command as the map changed on a jailbreak server. This happened before the update today.

It seems very implausible that 3 random people get banned at exactly the same time after many hours of playing. Any ideas what might have caused this?

How about the fact you're using an ancient version of SMAC?

It isn't ancient. It is actually the newest version compiled without updating the include files which has no effect on the detection method.

The official release version is 0.8.5.1 and the detection method has never changed.
