I had this working on another server months ago. I took the info from the server.cfg off.


I have installed

Is the plugin loaded? Did you check the logs for errors? Did you check the console for errors on startup?

The plugin is working fine for me... at least yesterday it did

The file looks fine that I can tell...but you don't need all that other stuff in the server.cfg

It is enabled by default... and looks for that file by default and you don't need the reload part that is just to reload it if you change something in the text.

The only thing I have is this which changed the interval from the default 30:

sm_advertisements_interval 12


Aside from that make sure the plugin loaded.

No offence Ryan, but you definitely need to understand cvars (Console Variables) better.
They all take the form <key> <value> and are used to change server and/or plugin settings from what they usually would be had you omitted it. If the key has spaces, then "use quotes" to contain the words to a single argument, unless you want to use multiple arguments. And remember if you're happy with the cvars default value, you need not change it.

Sometimes plugins provide their own config files where you can edit cvars, should you want to change them. Other times, you'll need to place them in a file yourself (make sure it gets run).

Looking at your code briefly you don't need things like:

sm_advertisements_enabled 1       (Since this is already default)
sm_horsemann_version "- Version"       (Do not use odd strings for version numbers and they don't need changing anyway)
Unknown command "("      (Likely a case of not using quotes, or just not meant to be using a bracket)
Unknown command "cd_loggin"       (Just plain doesn't exist - unless you don't have the correct plugin loaded)
sm_advertisements_file (def "advertisements.txt")       (The game reads this as two arguments '(def' and '"advertisements.txt")' - not only do you not need to change it, but you just use sm_advertisements_file "advertisements.txt" alone as the key/value pair anyway)

Whilst these clog your console with warnings (and maybe an odd version number or two ) there's nothing that's game-breaking.

Edit: [[ Maybe this is your problem, maybe it isn't reading the right file because of what you originally wrote on the last line above, have you restarted the server after changing this value back to what it should be? ]]

That's an odd one, no clue why something would use "so urcemod" - user error somewhere.

Overall however nothing there points to an error in the Advertisements plugin. Would you mind attaching L20120412.log please (or only pasting relevant/recent log errors that pertain to this plugin). Thanks!

Honestly, that looks like your not even running sourcemod....

anyways, i've got 0.6.2 (unoffical) working for me. its around 79....

Otherwise theres no errors in those logs of yours related to Advertisements.

What does that mean? It means that you can only use the colors DEFAULT, TEAM, GREEN, and LIGHTGREEN in the chat (Say) message. ORANGE, RED, BLUE, etc... are for top (T) message only.

Hey, i have a problem. I cant get the plugin working. Its not even loaded in SourceMod.

SourceMod: sourcemod-1.4.3-hg3476 for Linux
Can someone help me or does someone know an alternate to this?
