Hi everybody.

I've had SourceBans running for 6 months now, and everything works great!!!

But sometimes when I go to my website, I get this error:

I've tried with two different webhosts, and yet I still get the same error!

Strange thing is that EVERY SINGLE FEATURE in SourceBans works, even though I get the failure!

Is there any way around this AJAX Call Fail?

I hope some of you can help :-)

Did you switch your database host too when switching webhosts?
Looks like there are some connection issues with your database. Does that error pop up when looking at the server list or the dashboard? Could be, your database host doesn't like all that parallel database connections. SourceBans opens a new connection for every ajax call and starts an ajax call to get the info for every server registered in your sourcebans install.

Hi

The Database is hosted at the webhost aswell. I did change them.

I run 3 different Databases. 1 for CSSBank, and 1 for SourceBans and 1 for SourceComms so that non of them would be somewhat overloaded.

I have no idea why this occurs.

Those "MySQL server has gone away" errors are hard to debug. Your php webpanel loses the connection to your mysql server, maybe because too many simultaneous connections.
You'll have to ask google to get more support on that, because it's a generic mysql error and not related to sourcebans in particular.

Sounds too complicated, but thanks anyway. I'll just let it be for now, cuz I do not want to break it.

I can see you are from WCFAN. Before I switched to CSGO I used to play on your D2_Unlimited server. Just to let you know, it suffers from huge uptime-lag. You should consider lowering the timelimit so that it changes map twice a day or something. It kinda ruins a great server.

I had this problem aswell. Fixed it yesterday by changing PHP version in my cpanel. Think I changed to 5.2 to get it working, but I'm not sure. My cpanel (hosting24) had version 5.2-5.5, just test different ones until it's working!

EDIT: Oh, saw that the thread was old and bumped. But it might help someone with the same problem maybe!
