Windows or Linux for CS:GO

I've heard rumors that Windows is better for CS:GO servers when it comes to high player counts / tickrate.

Is this true?

Yes, there is currently a limitation for CS:GO Linux servers.

I believe CS:GO Linux servers isn't using the networking thread. Therefore, performance is much worse with high slot counts, etc.

I've reported the issue to the CS:GO developers. However, I've received no responses.

I'm still looking into this issue further to see if I can get more details.

Windows used full CPU Cores, but linux used only one core. So now is better Windows, than Linux. But if you choose for Linux, you must have really strong and fast cpu.
