I have seen this exact same thread posted a number of times, and I have read all of them and tried to decipher how to fix my problem: My amx_super will not load correctly. In my logs this message appears "
L 12/08/2007 - 10:23:53: [AMXX] Plugin "amx_super.amxx" failed to load: Plugin uses an unknown function (name "get_speak") - check your modules.ini."

I have seen this exact same problem posted (I think its only a few posts down) but there has never been a clear answer that I can understand. And yes, I also have read the FAQ. I'm not sure how to check what version of amxx I have. I am also not sure what hlsw is.

I dled the addon. Included in it is the same folders that are already in my amxmodx folder on my ftp. Do I just overwrite the old files with the newly dled ones?

Correct, except the cfg files, or whichever ones you change (users.ini, plugins.ini and whatnot)

I'm encountering this same problem, but the addon says it's for vers 1.8 and i'm running 1.71 will this be an issue?

Either upgrade amxmodx, or goto the other versions of amxmodx and get the addon version to your amxmodx version.
