Sure? Then you gotta remove all plugins that got this "at least amxmodx version XXX required", because you cannot run it with an older version.

But you can run almost all old plugins with latest amxx version.

Not all.
Older war3ft versions for example.
Amxbans 5.0 fails mostly too with amxmodx 1.8.1 if you don't upgrade to the modified version. Many plugins get rewriten and updated to work better with newer versions of amxmodx. I see no problem in removing a useless (for steam users) funktion.
Can you give me an example plugin that would stop working if you remove admin-funktion nick and password?

I don't know if such plugins exit and i won't bother to search, i also completly don't care about that name feature.
